Shanley Woods leads Wheeling Park past Morgantown

WHEELING — Shanley Woods did the damage from the 3-point line and teammate Isabella Abernathy did the damage from the foul line to lead the Patriots to a 63-46 victory against Morgantown on Thursday.
Woods connected on six 3-pointers and finished with 21 points and Abernathy went 11 of 14 from the free-throw line to add 17 more.
Wheeling Park hit 11 3-pointers in all.
Morgantown was led by Kaitlyn Ammons’ 20 points and freshman Kerrington Peasak added eight.
MHS (4-6) will host St. Albans at 4 p.m. on Jan. 12.
