MHS scores win in six-team golf meet

MORGANTOWN — The Morgantown High golf team outdistanced rival University and four other schools Thursday, at the Pines Country Club.
The Mohigans shot a team score of 254 in the 18-hole event, while UHS fired a 267 and Preston High was third with a 276.
Magnolia (279) was fourth, Trinity (289) took fifth and Clay-Battelle (365) was sixth.
MHS was paced by Jack Hudson’s 83 and Jack Giobbia shot an 83 for the Hawks. Preston was led by Caleb Osbourne’s 86.
Magnolia’s Trey Blain was the low medialist with a 6-over 77.
Mark Spruill shot an 85 for Trinity.
